To retract the hose, give it a short sharp pull (approximately 2-4 inches) and you will feel it automatically retract. You can interrupt this process by pulling the hose again. To deal with tangles inside the reel, extend the hose to its full length and then permit it to retract smoothly as you walk it back to the hose reel housing. This will allow the self-layering mechanism to layer the hose correctly into the reel.

If you encounter any leaks at the interface, the product is supplied with two seals that can be replaced, and a Teflon tape that can be wrapped at the interface to prevent leakage.
